Thought you might find these interesting.
This is my wife Janet Walsh running our 14' Sotar in Split Creek rapid. In the first pic she has skirted the rock too close, has dropped into the hole behind the rock and is climbing up the side of the hole looking pretty intent.
In the next pic.. 1/2 second later!... she is completely airborne! Note the shadow on the water under the boat. Note the safety straps on the tube tips pointed upward. Notice the flip lines are up in the air. She was a lot higher before the camera caught this pic! Also notice that she is also airborne and headed for the drink!
In the last pic she is in the water and moving toward the frame. There
were people in front of her and behind her that caught up to her and
helped her back into the saddle. When they asked if she was OK she just said, "I just wanted to cool off!"
