Boat design has always been a compromise of different performance characteristics. Longer boats track better and short boats turn quickly. The goal is a highly maneuverable boat that tracks, but still turns on a dime. Before now you had to settle on a boat designers choice of compromise, a balance of average tracking and manageable maneuverability.

SOTAR introduces the “no compromise” SL design.  Finally you get what you have always wanted.  The SL gives you an extended waterline for superior tracking, but a very short footprint on the water for effortless turning.  Fast and nimble in a way you could only dream about before.  With an extended straight section and modified diminishing tubes in the bow and stern, the internal space is increased to accommodate additional gear and paddlers.  Try one soon and find out what all the buzz is about.

Our SL Elite rafts are all built using our exclusive Lexatron (Polyurethane) fabric and are available in Teal, Lt. Blue, Yellow, Purple, Black, Grey, or White. 

Each SOTAR SL Raft comes standard with two removable thwarts, a self-bailing floor, and four main air chambers for a total of seven airtight compartments. Also included are six carrying handles and 10-2” stainless steel D-rings. In addition you can add custom D-rings, foot scoops, a frame chafe, a bottom wrap, additional thwarts, custom color combinations, and custom graphics.
